Section 42. New Certificates of Registration and Professional Licenses. —

1. Associate electrical engineers and assistant electrical engineers with valid certificates of registration and professional license issued under Republic Act No. 184 shall register within two (2) years from the effectivity of this Act and be issued new certificates of registration and new professional license as registered electrical engineers under this Act to replace their original ones. Their serial numbers shall be provided by the registration division of the Commission.

2. Master electricians with valid certificates of registration and professional licenses under Republic Act No. 184 shall register within two (2) years from the effectivity of this Act and be issued new certificates of registration and new professional licenses as registered master electricians with the same serial numbers as their old ones to replace their original certificates and licenses.
